Microsoft Teams just hit the 250 million monthly active user milestone. With no signs of hybrid and remote work slowing down, these numbers should only continue to rise as organizations pursue Teams as their standardized collaboration tool.

But deployment doesn’t always equal adoption – many organizations roll out Microsoft Teams to their end users and stop there. To ensure proper adoption of Teams, there needs to be ongoing training.

When done correctly, you can expect to achieve successful adoption and proficiency of Microsoft Teams – where users are changing their behaviors and leveraging the full solution.

With the growth in Teams usage – and with a stronger, more accessible presence of Microsoft Teams integrated directly within Windows 11 – we anticipate that users will inherently leverage Teams for every aspect of their work. But we need to consider the productivity implications if it’s not being leveraged to its full potential.

In hybrid and remote work environments, the demand for efficient and productive working habits persists – which is why Microsoft has made advanced tools and features available in Teams.

A growing need for training and adoption of Microsoft Teams

As organizations rushed to support remote working at the start of the pandemic, Microsoft made Teams available to everyone. This resulted in thousands of users who required training. In response, SHI’s Training and adoption services hosted complimentary training webinars and demos for over 5,000 users.

Now, to help users fully leverage everything Microsoft Teams has to offer, we’re offering a three-part complimentary Teams Training series covering advanced features and capabilities to spearhead your productivity.

3-part complimentary Microsoft Teams training series

The importance of Microsoft Teams goes far beyond the basic features we’ve grown accustomed to while working remotely for the past year and a half. While users have been leveraging Teams for simple capabilities like chat and meetings, they are eager to discover the enhanced productivity features the platform has on offer.

This training series addresses just that, going beyond the basics and taking a deep dive into the practical tools and features built to enhance your efficiency, communication, and overall productivity.

Held every Wednesday from Sept. 22 to Oct. 6 at 2-3 p.m. EDT, this series will cover the following topics:

  1. The collaboration feature you thought you knew: Essential uses for Teams File Sharing (Sept. 22, 2021)

The various file sharing and collaboration features within Microsoft Teams help organizations slash technology costs by eliminating shared network drives. Users benefit, too, from a dramatic reduction in email clutter and time spent searching for hard-to-find attachments.

Teams is often described as having the potential to become “a hub for all of your work activities.” This session will demonstrate how to make that claim a reality, as we explore the integration of data, tools, and applications into Teams via Tabs.

  1. For the experienced Teams user: The best kept secrets for productivity (Oct. 6, 2021)

This fast-paced roundup session will explore a variety of valuable, lesser-known techniques and best kept secrets that will increase your productivity throughout the Microsoft Teams application.
