SHI crosses first half of 2018 with $4.6 billion in revenue

At the halfway point of 2018, SHI is continuing its explosive growth trajectory, both in terms of revenue and company expansion. At the close of Q2, SHI had posted a record $4.6 billion for the first six months of 2018—a 21 percent spike over the first half of 2017. Meanwhile, SHI invested heavily in its workforce, crossing the 4,000-employee threshold for the first time in our nearly 30-year history, and broke ground on a new Austin headquarters to support SHI’s growing Corporate division.

And grow it did. Both the Corporate and SMB division and the Commercial and Strategic Enterprise division grew 22 percent year over year. Not to be outdone, SHI’s Public Sector division climbed 26 percent over last year.

Perhaps not surprisingly, adoption of public cloud services — AWS in particular — is one of the biggest impetuses of growth. SHI experienced 62 percent year-over-year growth in AWS revenue in the first half of 2018, and is continuously investing in additional AWS technical certifications to support these customers.
