Adobe gives Creative Cloud for enterprise the VIP treatment. Here’s what it means for you.
Adobe’s Creative Cloud for enterprise suite can now be licensed through a Value Incentive Plan (VIP) Agreement. Translation: Organizations are no longer required to license Creative Cloud for enterprise solely through an Enterprise Term License Agreement.
Creative Cloud for enterprise gives users some of the industry’s most powerful creative apps across desktops and mobile devices. This suite allows users to share assets across apps and teams, accelerate the design process, and manage the enterprise to work securely.

The VIP Agreement basics
The VIP Agreement is a subscription-based license, unlike the Enterprise Term License Agreement. Under VIP, the term of the license can be as short as 12 months, but can be extended to three years, giving organizations flexibility. This subscription-based model is on par with other Adobe product licenses, which have slowly transitioned toward a VIP Agreement arrangement and away from perpetual licensing in recent years.
Under VIP Select (part of the VIP Agreement), licenses can be renewed and new seats added at a discounted price; Adobe Acrobat DC can also be licensed through a single VIP Agreement.
Generally, the VIP Agreement and ability to add licenses for a discount make sense for organizations that need the full roster of Creative Cloud apps and have more than 60 seats.
New licensing, same advanced features
Creative Cloud for enterprise licensed through the VIP Agreement offers the same benefits and features as the Enterprise Term licensing structure. Creative Cloud integrates desktop apps like Adobe Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC with connected mobile apps, so your employees can start work on a project from anywhere. We want to highlight four other features, as well.
1. Adobe CreativeSync: At the heart of Creative Cloud is CreativeSync, which catalogs files, fonts, images, videos, settings, and other assets so employees can access them from desktop, web, and mobile apps. CreativeSync allows employees to quickly organize and share assets, enabling them to work faster while ensuring brand consistency.
2. Adobe Stock and Typekit: Access millions of stock images, graphics, and videos directly from inside your Creative Cloud apps with Adobe Stock. Adobe Typekit offers thousands of fonts for web and desktop design.
3. Encryption and Single Sign-On: Creative Cloud for enterprise protects your data at all times by encrypting all content both in transit and at rest. Access controls, such as Acrobat DC’s encrypted single sign-on option, give organizations the opportunity to seamlessly protect design assets and other documents. Adobe’s User Management SDK also synchronizes with existing directory systems to automate user changes to give organizations complete control of their accounts.
4. Always-on support: When purchased through a VIP Agreement license, Creative Cloud for enterprise offers 24/7 technical support and onboarding assistance.
One more consideration
What’s best for your organization: Creative Cloud for teams or Creative Cloud for enterprise? Simply put, Creative Cloud for enterprise has added security features, additional encryption services, access to Adobe Stock, expanded technical support, multiple admin roles, and management through Adobe Enterprise Dashboard. Both can be licensed through the VIP Agreement.
