The new, improved, and revamped offerings

Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate

Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate will be renamed Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate and the existing two exams will be consolidated into one.

May 2023 

• New beta exam and course available: MD-102: Endpoint Administrator

July 2023

• Certification name change implemented
• Retirement of:
  • Exam and course MD-100: Windows Client
  • Exam and course MD-101: Windows Client

Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert

Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert will be renamed Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert and the existing two exams will be consolidated into one.

May 2023 

• New beta exam and course available: MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator

July 2023

• Certification name change implemented
• Retirement of:
  • Exam and course MS-100: M365 Identity and Services
  • Exam and course MS-101: M365 Mobility and Security

Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Voice Engineer Expert

A new certification, Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate, will replace Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Voice Engineer Expert.

March 2023

• New beta exam and course available: MS-721: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer

May 2023

• New certification available: Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate

June 2023

• Retirement of:
  • Certification M365 Certified: Teams Voice Engineer Expert
  • Exam and course MS-720: Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer

November 2023

• Renewal window starts for M365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate

Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Application Developer Associate

The certification and the corresponding exam, Exam MS-600: Building Applications and Solutions with Microsoft 365 Core Services, was retired March 31, 2023.

March 2023

  • Exam MS-600: Building Applications and Solutions with M365 Core Services

December 2023

• Retirement for Microsoft Cloud Partners of:
  • Certification M365 Certified: Teams Application Developer Associate

June 2024

• Renewal window ends for M365 Certified: Teams Application Developer Associate

Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate

The certification and the corresponding exam, Exam MS-500: Microsoft 365 Security Administration will be retired in June 2023.
