SHI’s Austin office named a Best Place to Work
Austin American-Statesman names SHI a Top Workplace for the greater Austin area.
Good things are happening in Texas! SHI’s Austin, Texas office has once again been named one of the city’s top places to work!
The office, which serves as the national hub for our small and mid-sized business sales organization, houses an impressive 1,100 employees and is our second largest location after our world headquarters in New Jersey.
The Austin American-Statesman’s Top Workplace designation is based on an anonymous employee survey that asks workers to rate employers on issues like leadership and direction, ethics and values, and how well they are treated.
SHI employees praised our transparent and open communication on the direction of the company, strong inter-departmental collaboration, positive work environment, and competitive pay and benefits. In addition, they highlighted opportunities for advancement, recognition for hard work, supportive and empowering team leaders, and culture.
This marks the ninth time SHI has been named one of Austin’s Top Workplaces since we first opened our regional HQ in 2009.
Since then, our footprint in Austin has grown rapidly. Back in 2009, the local office consisted of a handful of call center employees. As of 2020, our Austin offices topped 1,200 employees and moved into Garza Ranch, our new facility built from the ground up for rich collaboration.
