Don’t settle for outdated hardware: 3 ways SHI can help
From end-user devices to data center infrastructure, SHI has the expertise and partnerships to manage successful hardware refreshes. Here are a few examples spanning the private and public sectors.
SHI is no stranger to tight deadlines, so when this New Jersey school district contacted us with a last-minute request to get laptops to their faculty and staff before students arrived for the new school year, our experts didn’t even blink. After test driving the Dell Latitude 3380, the district ordered 180 devices and had SHI asset tag and etch the school district’s logo on each one. SHI delivered the devices six weeks ahead of schedule and saved the customer more than $20,000.
Parting with old technology is no easy feat, but after growing tired of utilizing valuable staff to perform day-to-day maintenance on its aging storage solution, and experiencing a severe dip in performance, this county contacted SHI and several competing partners and OEMs to submit proposals for an updated storage infrastructure. After nine months of evaluations, the customer felt confident that SHI had the partnerships and expertise to bring its data center into the 21st century. The county selected SHI’s solution, which included HPE Nimble Storage, Meraki Cloud, and Cisco technologies.
After a less-than satisfactory experience with another vendor, this food distributor contacted SHI to assist with completing the first leg of their yearly refresh in a timely fashion. The customer had already selected the Dell OptiPlex 3040 and Latitude E7470 devices but needed help rolling them out across 34 locations nationwide. SHI deployed 3,500 devices for the customer in just four months, and introduced them to asset tagging to make reporting that much easier. As a result of this success, SHI will lead the second leg of the refresh in 2018.
